Exmoor is widely regarded as one of the finest riding landscapes in the UK. With more than 625 miles of bridleways and tracks, riders can explore open moorland, ancient woodland, river valleys and quiet country lanes.
The varied terrain makes it suitable for everything from gentle scenic hacks to longer, more adventurous rides. Wildlife sightings are common, with red deer, buzzards and the iconic Exmoor ponies all part of the landscape.
Many local pubs and tea rooms welcome riders, with places to tie up horses while you stop for coffee, lunch or a drink — a wonderful way to break up a day in the saddle.
West Hollowcombe Farm is well placed for guests visiting Exmoor for the hunting season.
With stabling, turnout and trailer parking on site, along with comfortable accommodation across four cottages, the farm works particularly well for hunting groups travelling together.
We’re fortunate to sit within reach of three renowned local packs. Whether you choose to ride with the Devon & Somerset Staghounds, the Dulverton West Foxhounds, The Dulverton Farmers or the Exmoor Foxhounds, the farm provides a convenient and well-equipped base for your stay.
If you’re planning a hunting stay, we’re happy to assist with logistics where possible.
